Identity Services

Specops Secure Service Desk helps service desk agents verify a user’s identity before resetting passwords or providing other account assistance. Identity services are the authentication methods available for this verification.

Specops Secure Service Desk supports all identity services listed in Specops Authentication Identity Services, except Trusted Network Location for user verification. Administrators can choose which methods to offer and how users must combine them to meet their organization’s authentication policy. Specops:ID is the recommended option.

Note

The identity services shown in the Specops Authentication Admin Web policy editor depend on your subscription, the oldest Gatekeeper version in your environment, and where your users are managed (Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID). Some identity services require a minimum Gatekeeper version. Windows Identity is not available for users managed in Microsoft Entra ID.
