Entra ID-joined Computers

This page describes how to configure Specops Client on multiple Entra ID-joined computers, using Administrative Templates (ADMX files) and Microsoft Intune.

Downloading the Specops Administrative Templates

To download the Administrative Templates associated with Specops Client, see Download Administrative Templates (ADMX).

There are two versions available. For Microsoft Entra ID-joined computers, use Specops.Client.AzureAdJoinedComputer.AdmxTemplates.zip.

Importing the Administrative Templates (ADMX) into Intune

To import the templates into Intune, follow the instructions in Import custom ADMX and ADML administrative templates into Microsoft Intune.

Note

The Specops ADMX has a dependency on Microsoft's ADMX templates. Import windows.admx/windows.adml from Microsoft's latest ADMX templates before importing the Specops ADMX templates.

Configuring the Specops Administrative Templates

To configure the templates:

  1. Open the Microsoft Intune admin center.
  2. To create a policy, follow the instructions in Configure ADMX settings using the settings catalog in Microsoft Intune.
  3. Navigate to Administrative Templates and select Specops Client. There you will find the policy settings provided by the Specops Client Administrative Templates.

To use Specops Client with uReset on Microsoft Entra ID-joined computers, you must configure several registry settings on the client computers, see Configuration for Entra ID-joined Computers. We recommended using Intune to deploy these settings.
