Identity Services

An identity service is a method of authenticating a user. Each organization can use the identity services that best meet its needs. The Specops:ID mobile app is the recommended identity service, but it is optional. Other authentication factors are available depending on organization type and geographical region.

On the Identity Services page you can view all available identity services. You can enable or disable the identity services and manage their system-wide settings.

If an identity service is configurable, a Identity service cog icon icon appears next to it.

If an identity service is disabled, a Identity service cross icon icon appears next to it.

If an identity service is enabled, a Identity service check icon icon appears next to it.

Examples:

A configurable identity service that is currently disabled.
A configurable identity service that is currently enabled.

Click an identity service. To allow users to enroll and authenticate with it, you must enable it and, if applicable, configure it. If you disable the identity service, users can no longer use it.
