Identity Services

Specops Key Recovery helps users unlock computers protected by BitLocker or Symantec Endpoint Encryption without calling the service desk. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) helps secure this self-service recovery process. Identity services are the authentication methods available to verify a user’s identity before they regain access to their computer.

Specops Key Recovery supports all identity services listed in Specops Authentication Identity Services. Administrators can choose which methods to offer and how users must combine them to meet their organization’s authentication policy. Specops:ID is the recommended option.

Note

The identity services shown in the Specops Authentication Admin Web policy editor depend on your subscription and the oldest Gatekeeper version in your environment. Some identity services require a minimum Gatekeeper version.
