Specops Verified ID Expands Identity Verification to Entra ID Users

Latest expansion builds on Specops’ continued investment in identity security for cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments
STOCKHOLM, Sweden — 3 September 2026 — Specops, an Outpost24 company and provider of identity and password security solutions, today announced that Specops Verified ID now supports Microsoft Entra ID users, extending high-assurance identity verification to cloud-only environments.
Specops Verified ID enables organizations to verify that a user is who they claim to be using government-issued identity documents combined with biometric liveness validation and fraud detection. The technology can be incorporated into sensitive identity workflows where impersonation poses a particular risk, including service desk interactions, password resets and employee onboarding. These capabilities are particularly relevant for organizations operating under NIS2, DORA, HIPAA and NIST frameworks.
The expansion continues Specops’ investment in supporting organizations as identity environments move to the cloud. Specops Secure Service Desk added support for cloud-only Entra ID environments in June 2025, followed by Specops uReset in August 2025. Verified ID now extends stronger identity verification to Entra ID users, alongside existing support for hybrid and on-premises environments.
