Specops introduces real-time leaked password protection

Stockholm, Sweden – November 14, 2018. Specops Software announced today the release of  Specops uReset 8.0. With this major release, organizations can benefit from a best of breed password reset solution that provides real-time password deny list feedback during end-user password reset or change.

Specops uReset allows users to address the most common tasks related to password management, once they have confirmed their identity with dynamic multi-factor authentication (MFA). Compatibility with Specops Breached Password Protection enables users to receive real-time feedback when a new password appears in the password deny list. This removes user confusion when a password change fails.

“Password and end-user authentication is not only a vulnerability, but also a cost driver for any organization,” said Lori Österholm, CTO at Specops Software. “Specops uReset reduces password reset related calls to the helpdesk, enhances password security with MFA, and reduces end-user frustrations with real-time password validation.”

The solution supports more than 15 identity providers for MFA, including out-of-the-box support for various authenticator apps, and third-party authentication services.

The latest release of Specops uReset also introduces Efos support for SITHS cards in Sweden and enhances language support with the addition of Japanese, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese in the user interface. Failover capability is also added to ensure you are always up and running.
