Enabling verbose logging in Specops Products
Table of Contents
All Specops components can enable verbose debug logging. This creates a detailed log about what the component does, including any error messages thrown by the component. Logging is enabled in the registry by setting a value of 1 on a desired component and requires a restart of the affected component in order to begin the logging process. Some components, like the Specops Setup Assistant, automatically create a debug log. All Specops logs can be viewed easily using Specops Logviewer which is available for free as part of the Specops Deploy package. In the event that there is an issue with your Specops product it is recommended that you enable debugging as Specops Product Services will require these logs in order to aid in the debugging process.
Authentication and password security is more important than ever. Our password audit tool scans your Active Directory and identifies password-related vulnerabilities. The collected information generates multiple interactive reports containing user and password policy information.
