Running Specops Password Auditor in a Multi-Domain Environment
This article will review how to use Specops Password Auditor to scan different Active Directory domains.
By default, Password Auditor will scan the current Active Directory domain. Scanning a different Active Directory domain is supported as long as the Active Directory user running Password Auditor has Domain Admin or equivalent permissions in the target domain.
To target a different domain, launch Password Auditor from the command line and use the –domain parameter to specify the DNS name of the target domain:
"%ProgramFiles%\Specopssoft\Specops Password Policy\SPA\SPA.Presentation.exe" --domain contoso.comFor example:
When Password Auditor launches you should see the target domain name specified and all other details from that point forward relevant to that target domain:
