Securing IT in the Digital Landscape: Authentication Strategies in the UK
Despite predictions of the ‘death of the password’ more than ten years ago, the use of passwords as a single point of security has continued to rise. To effectively secure sensitive data and user accounts, it is vital that businesses move away from a single point of vulnerability and embrace multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Our survey report examines approaches to digital security across UK businesses, with a particular focus on the role of authentication strategies. The study considered the extent to which businesses are embracing emerging digital technologies, as well as:
- the level of adoption of new technologies and services, such as Software-as-a-Service and Cloud; specifically Office 365 given it’s proliferation
- the challenges organisations face when considering authentication strategies; and
- the key opportunities and benefits organisations are looking to exploit when it comes to multi-factor authentication.
